Our Lord, Jesus King of All Nations

Our Lord, Jesus King of All Nations, refers to a devotion honoring the sovereign kingship of Jesus Christ over all peoples, nations, and creation, associated with a body of private revelations reported by an anonymous American religious sister in the later twentieth century. In these communications the Lord is said to call the world to acknowledge His reign, to seek His mercy, and to turn from sin, offering the promise of peace to a humanity that would submit to His loving rule.

The devotion, which includes a particular image, medal, and prayers, is rooted in the Church's long-established doctrine of the Kingship of Christ, solemnly proclaimed by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Quas Primas of 1925, which instituted the Feast of Christ the King. It should be noted, however, that the particular private revelations connected with the title "King of All Nations" have been the subject of ecclesiastical study and have not received a definitive formal approval as authentic from the competent authority; the devotion is a matter of private piety. The truth it expresses, the universal reign of Christ, is firmly held by the whole Church.
