St. Ambrosius Kibuuka
St. Ambrosius Kibuuka was one of the youngest of the Martyrs of Uganda, a page at the court of King Mwanga II of Buganda who embraced the Catholic faith among the Christian pages and held to it with the courage of the young when the persecution broke out.
Condemned in 1886, he was among the group led to Namugongo and burned alive there on 3 June 1886, dying with St. Charles Lwanga and his companions rather than deny Christ. Canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1964, he is celebrated among the Uganda Martyrs on 3 June.
